Grr.

I hope I don't get dooced for this, but I'm having a really, really lame day today, and let's just say it's not due to any problems in my personal life. We're under so much stress with all the new responsibilities they're shoveling onto us, and more just keeps being added. I'm grateful for my employment, but days/weeks/months like this sure don't deter my fantasies of the stay-at-home-mom position I will be promoted to in the next year or so. (No dad, not preggers yet, just planning for it). Speaking of dooce and SAHM's, I (like half the world, it seems) really like her blog. There are a few non-friend blogs I like actually, and though I read them about as much as my friend's blogs (which isn't as frequently as it should be) I do like reading them from time-to-time. Here's a list of the blogs I infrequently frequent:

Things I hate about my Flatmate
Hi-LARIOUS. Anyone who's ever lived with someone they couldn't stand (or even just someone mildly irritating) will find this site brilliantly amusing.

360 Degrees of Sky - Life in Rural Zambia
Very good read. I love learning about other countries and cultures, and this blog gives a first-hand account of what it's like to be in...well, rural Zambia. Makes you both appreciate what we have and what they have, and talks about bugs a lot, which I dig because I love bugs.

La Coquette
Just a girl living in Paris who seems pretty cool and writes about things I'd probably write about if I were living in Paris.

noodlepie
Vietnamese food-type blog. Again, other countries and cultures = fun and educational read. Plus the only Vietnamese food I've ever tried and liked has been pho, so this blog is good motivation to keep giving them a chance to hook me in with other dishes.

dooce
Irregular girl (in more ways than one) with a seemingly regular life. She is a SAHM and I read her blog because I like to live vicariously though her right now, because I will probably be a lot like her when *I* am a SAHM. I hope.

WIL WHEATON DOT NET
He's just as nerdy as you'd imagine him to be. Yet, if you yourself are a nerd, as I am, this is a very amusing blog. You go, Wil Wheaton!

So...it's not a bloggie, but a few of them might end up with bloggies anyway, so being one of MY favorites is just the icing on the cake.

Supreme Court Bars Death Penalty for Juvenile Killers

Woohoo!!! Whoever thought this was a good idea in the first place should be ashamed of themselves. Now our country can proudly say that it doesn't approve murdering mentally handicapped people OR children!!! One step at a time, America, one step at a time.
