OMG

Okay, so those of you who've spent almost any amount of time around me since last fall have probably heard me cooing over the ARCTIC MONKEYS. "They're really, really great!" I'd say. "You should check them out!" I'd tell people. "God save the Queen!" I'd shout from street corners. Okay, so that last one isn't true. But yay! After months spent listening to demos, shitty bootlegged live recordings, and the FIVE songs they had available on iTunes, last month they finally came out with not only another EP, but a FULL LENGTH ALBUM! Finally. But that's not what the OMG is for, because really, it was about time for that to happen. What is OMG-worthy is the fact that this week I have 1) heard that they're playing at the Sasquatch! Music Festival, 2) heard them played on The End, 3) Seen an ad for their new album in the header row of the main page of iTunes' US store, and 4) heard that they're performing on SNL on March 11. Not that I watch SNL anymore, but I'll at least try to catch it that night. Maybe. Okay, this is coming off like a plug for the band now, so I'll stop. Wait, no, it IS a plug for the band. You should check them out! Even Brett likes them. :)
