This was my first Blogger blog evarrrz!!! I like it, so I'm going to keep it as a lovely record of my youth. I may or may not have a current blog at the time you're reading this - the best way to find out is to go to catjackson.net. If I'm doing anything at the mo, you can probably find it there. For an even older blog of mine, please go here.

The Universe Finds Balance Once Again
My morning and afternoon? Perfect. My night? Not so much. Call after call from bankers with questions that they shouldn't have to ask, lame scheduling things that need to be figured out asap, tense shoulders, and a crabby mood have sort of put a damper on the evening. It's strange; I'm crankier than I should be about this evening, but I was happier than I should've been about my morning. Things balance out in a really interesting way sometimes, but they always seem to balance. At least *I* see it as balancing when bad things happen. It's just like, payment for the good things, and the good things are generally good enough to make the bad ones okay. Most of my friends haven't had as many tough things happen in their lives as I have, but I bet most of them haven't had as many cool things either. Or maybe it's not even about that; maybe it's just about being aware of the experiences you've been given and acknowledging your emotional reactions to them, but still retaining the understanding that any experience, whether it feels horrible or wonderful, is still beautiful in a way because it's an experience. It's your life, and life is just like...the things that you go through, and how you handle them. Damn. That sounds like something that should be printed in High Times. And for all you old-school friends of mine out there, I'll take us on a High Times walk down memory lane: Two apples walk into a bar, one apple turns to the other and says "oh my God I lost my tractor!" Ah, yes. If anyone read that and wasn't there for the like SIX MONTHS that Jon and I found that joke to be cripplingly funny and told it over and over and over again, you probably think I'm less retarded than the people who WERE there. The funny thing is, Jon's never smoked pot, and I hadn't smoked it in years...
