We were supposed to leave on time today

But it's past time to go, and Brett hasn't even written to say that he's left work. I've tried emailing him and calling, but I'm not getting any response, which means he's probably stuck in some stupid, unexpected meeting. It takes him 20-30 minutes to get here. We're both exhausted, and we keep eating out because we're too tired and short on time to make dinner ourselves. We don't have the energy to work out or do ANYTHING productive once we get home, and we usually only have a couple of hours there before we have to go to sleep anyway. We've barely started working on our Christmas presents, our cards are still in the boxes, our house is a mess, and at this point we'll be VERY lucky if we get home before 5pm, and in order to get 8 hours of sleep (which we haven't gotten in I don't even know how long) we should be going to bed at 8:30. We have nothing at home to eat for dinner, which means we'll either have to go to the grocery store (further delaying our arrival at home) or we'll eat out again (making us even fatter and once again spending way more money than is necessary). Bitch, bitch, bitch.
