It's Raining, It's Pouring

Well, it's been raining for like...what...four days? Since Sunday. and it's supposed to rain tomorrow, too. I really like the contrast to all the sunny, blue-skied weather we had over the summer, but I'm sort of tired of being cold, and both Brett and I have been having dry skin lately, because our bodies have had to get used to having the heat on again. And I don't think our sump pump is doing that great, which is no good. The water level is about as low as it usually is during the rainy seasons, but every time it turns on it sounds weird. Like, usually it sounds kind of like a garbage disposal...like a low, gurgley whirring sound, but for the last two days it's sounded higher and more chirpy, like whirring, metallic cicadas. If that makes any sense. I hope it doesn't break down completely before it stops raining enough for us to clean/repair/replace it. Depending on what the problem ends up being. I'm crossing my fingers for easily removable debris.
