She's On Phi-Er

I'm waiting for Brett to pick me up from work, and I didn't bring my knitting so don't really have much to do...I don't feel like I really have time to reply to emails, plus my hotmail's been acting up today, so I'm not really interested in going back in, I tried to eat this zone bar thingy I brought to eat for my snack but it's hurting my throat so I stopped, so now I'm writing this. It's been almost a week since I first got sick, and this is my first day back at work. It's as lame as work usually is, but not too much lamer, which is good. I'm not to that stage of the flu yet where you have that worthless dry cough that chokes you and makes your eyes tear but doesn't get anything up, and I'm past the stage where I have no voice and am little more than a dripping pile of germs, so it's been alright. Just some sniffles, throat clearing, lots of the healthy expectorating coughs...if you can use expectorating as a verb...or an adverb or however I used it, and dizziness, aching sinuses, and watery eyes. It's all good. But my throat burning got the one line of that country song stuck in my head...the only line I know...and THAT sucks. "She's on fire." Only in my head it's with an increasingly twangy accent, as I mentally mock the countryness (which I KNOW isn't a word) and try to make having it stuck in there slightly more entertaining than it would otherwise be. Right. So I don't like this post, but I'll submit it, because Brett is probably about to be here, and I get to go back home! Woo!!! :)
