I asked for yesterday off from work so I could meet Mike's new baby, and we got some baby stuff and a book for Mike and everything, and then Wednesday night I started to feel sick, and just kept feeling worse and worse until I realized I must have the flu. Needless to say, I had to bow out on the trip, and I still haven't met my new nephew. Now it's day three, and I don't feel better AT ALL, and we're thinking it's The Actual Flu, rather than just a cold that we refer to as "the flu." I stayed home sick today and felt like shit the whole time. I've been lying in front of the tv all day switching back and forth between E! and Comedy Central, because anything more substantial makes me feel nauseated. Words cannot express how bad I feel. I did take some time out to finish up the kitty slideshow though, so that's one semi-productive thing I did today. Oh, and this post...that's a good thing too. And Brett and I are about to go to Blockbuster to see if they have The Hebrew Hammer because I'm tired of watching all the crap that's on tv right now but I don't have the energy to do much else.
